Testimonials

The Junk Genie, George Da Rosa, chose his name aptly. We first put his "magic" to the test when we moved into a 1928 house on Lydia Street in Kitchener which was undergoing extensive renovations. The previous owner had left behind a mountain of junk which we cleared from basement, attic, garage and outdoorspaces. George had a look at the pile, which was easily five feet high, with a smile and a promise: "I'll make it disappear!"

When we returned later on the appointed day there was no evidence that there had ever been a mountain of junk at all. There wasn't a nail, a piece of glass or a shred of wood left. The grass had been raked and apart from a brown area which I'm sure George would have removed if he could have done so, there was not a sign that junk had ever been present.
Because of such a satisfying experience with the Junk Genie we hired him on a second occasion. This time it was to remove a structure. One of the selling features of the house was a glassed-in "house" measuring about 8 x 8. We shortly learned that while it was pretty it had no function and had to go. Enter George. However, after this next experience I thought that he chose his name incorrectly. He should have called himself the Junk Genius.

The "house" was situated in the midst of extensive perennial gardens with little space around it which was garden free. It had a shingled roof, glass in all the walls, a cut glass door and a full floor. George applied careful planning and a special brand of magic to make this disappear. His care, careful work, and thorough planning left us with only an empty space where the house had been. Not a single plant was harmed. As before there wasn't a shred of evidence left behind. The only "damage" was a broken $2.00 plastic hose guide which George offered to replace.
So, genie or genius? Perhaps a bit of both. Certainly he is well worth the hire, which I must add was entirely reasonable.

George came and tackled the daunting task of cleaning up the remains of a garage demo on our property. We were extremely impressed with the efficiency and the fine attention to detail with which this task was handled.

George is very personable, and his customer service is of the highest caliber. I would highly recommend Junk Genie.

I only wish I had heard of them before we started the demo, as I would have surely left the entire job from start to finish in his very capable hands.

Dear George,
On behalf of the City of Kitchener, I would like to express our sincere appreciation for your contribution of your equipment and services to the Tim Horton's Earth Day Litter Pick-up held in Victoria Park on April 21, 2007.

Your equipment was very clean and professional. You also interacted really well with the public and we're glad that you were able to recycle many of the materials that were picked up that day.

Your willingness to offer your support to this event was really appreciated. It helped to make it one of the best Earth Day Celebrations ever! We hope we will be able to work together for Earth Day 2008.

Thanks for being so community minded! It's people like you that make Kitchener such a great place to live!
Yours Sincerely,
